Dario Chiazzolino graduates with top honors from the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory in Turin. In 2006, he wins the Berklee Umbria Jazz Award for Best Guitarist. He has played and collaborated with significant figures in jazz, including Billy Cobham, Horacio “El Negro” Hernandez, Bob Mintzer, Russell Ferrante, William Kennedy, Felix Pastorius, Dominique Di Piazza, Tullio De Piscopo, Flavio Boltro, Dario Deidda, Roy Hargrove, Rosario Giuliani, Rick Stone, Bobby Watson, Antonio Faraò, Yellow Jackets, Willie Jones III, and in the pop genre with Tullio De Piscopo, Stef Burns, Ornella Vanoni. He has been a guest at festivals and events such as the Umbria Jazz Festival in Perugia and the Umbria Jazz Winter Festival in Orvieto, as well as various jazz clubs and festivals throughout Europe. In 2006, he won the Berklee Umbria Jazz Award for Best Guitarist. He participated in the tour of the Yellowjackets for the album ‘Timeline.’ The same year, he recorded the album ‘Lost in the Jungle’ for the project, accompanied by saxophonist Bob Mintzer. In 2014, he toured with saxophonist Andy Sheppard.
