Valerio SilvestroValerio Silvestro, a music teacher from Naples, began studying the piano at the age of 4. He joins the “Larry Nocella Quartet” with which he plays at the Capolinea with Chet Baker. In 1991 he recorded his first album with Jerry Bergonzi “Napoli Connection” for Red Records.
At the same time, he began an intense teaching activity and founded the M.A.D. Music Aptitude Development.
He studied with great musicians such as Jerry Bergonzi, Gary Burton, Enrico Pieranunzi, Franco D’Andrea, Furio di Castri, Peter Erskine, Wynton Marsalis, Joe Scofield, Mick Goodrick, Michael Brecker, Steve Grossman, George Garzone, Mike Manieri, Garrison Fewell , Enrico Rava, Bruno Tommaso, John Taylor, Palle Danielson, Billy Drummond, Jeff Ballard, Tim Berne.
He has played, among others, with Chet Baker, Jerry Bergonzi, Tullio de Piscopo, Fabrizio Bosso, Furio di Castri, Dario Deidda, Steve Grossman, Mike Manieri, Larry Nocella, Enrico Rava, Ares Tavolazzi, Bruno Tommaso and Massimo Urbani.
