Nico Di Battista ha iniziato a suonare nel 1989 con Nino Buonocore, collaborando alla realizzazione di “Scrivimi” e a due tour.
Nel 90 collabora con James Senese, con Lester Bowie e Don Moye degli “Art Ensemble of Chicago”.
Nel 92 suona con Fred Bongusto e Toquinio. Mina canta il suo brano “Amanti” nel disco “Caterpillar”. Partecipa a tre tour di Roberto Murolo. Nel 93 c’è l’incontro con Eduardo De Crescenzo, con tre tour e un disco dal vivo.
Nel 95 è con Tullio De Piscopo, registra due dischi e suona in due tour nazionali.
Realizza la colonna sonora del film di Lina Wertmuller “Francesca e Nunziata”.
Tra le altre collaborazioni importanti ci sono quella con Solomon Burke e con Horacio el Negro Hernandes. Nel 2005 esce un metodo dal titolo “Thumb & Slap per la chitarra” e nel 2009 il libro “Tecniche per la Chitarra”.
