Inizia lo studio del basso elettrico intorno ai quattordici anni. Incontrato il jazz, folgorato dall’ascolto di Scott LaFaro, a diciotto anni intraprende lo studio del contrabbasso da autodidatta.
Successivamente adotta un strumento a 5 corde, che gli permette di sviluppare in maniera ancora più estrema le infinite possibilità timbriche e espressive dello strumento. L’intensa attività concertistica lo ha portato ad esibirsi in numerosi festival e rassegne in tutto il mondo.
Davide Liberti ha suonato con Rosario Giuliani, Billy Cobham, Randy Brecker, Chad Lefkowitz-Brown, George Garzone, Andy Sheppard, Mark Nightingale, Javier Girotto, Tullio De Piscopo, Michael Rosen, Roberto Gatto, Gavino Murgia, Bojan Z.
