MEET THE TEACHER

At the age of just 20, he got his first major engagement with the Area II group led by drummer Giulio Capiozzo. In 1995 he was awarded by Musica Jazz magazine as the best new Italian talent. Since then his professional career has been flourishing around Italy, Europe and the whole world. He has played with Clark Terry, Nat Adderley, Jimmy Cobb, Sting, Albert Heath, Benny Golson, Billy Cobham, Brandford Marsalis, Joe Lovano, Aldo Romano, Enrico Rava, Paolo Fresu, Aldo Romano and many others. He has 12 records in his name and more than 200 records as a sideman or Co-Leader. He is the only European artist to have been released by one of the most prestigious US specialized labels, Max Jazz (Where or When, 2013).
