Mo-Bossa_Bass

Morris Pleasure known affectionately as Mo Pleasure, this renowned multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and producer.
began playing acoustic piano at the age of four and by his early teens already mastered several instruments including bass, trumpet and guitar.

Upon receiving his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Music from University of Connecticut, Mo began his professional music career starting with the great Ray Charles.

He then began his 30+ year music career as a live and session player based out of NYC, LA, Atlanta and London backing some of the most accomplished talents in Jazz, R&B and pop including:
George Duke, Natalie Cole, Christina Aguilera, Brian Culbertson, Michael McDonald, Jimi Hendrix Experience Tour, Joss Stone, Seal, Michael Bolton, Paula Abdul, Chaka Khan, Kenny Loggins, Paul Young, Peter Andre,
Maxwell, Roberta Flack, Marcus Miller, Jamie Foxx, Paul Young, Alicia Keys,
Average White Band, Maze, Sheila E., Najee, Patti Labelle, Patti Austin, Peter
Cetera e Mary J. Blige, to name a few.

Mo was a principal member and Music Director of the legendary group Earth, Wind & Fire from 1993-2001.
He was also featured on keyboards, trumpet and guitar with Janet Jackson’s 2001 “All For You” tour.
Mo was a keyboardist in Michael Jackson’s final band and subsequent movie “This Is It”.
Has also toured extensively with David Foster and is currently Music Director for Bette Midler.

In addition to performing at worldwide jazz and pop festivals including Montreux Jazz,
North Sea Jazz, Playboy Jazz, St. Lucia, Cancun, Lugano Jazz, and Montreal,
He is currently a music director at the Okeechobee Music and Art Festival in Florida.

Mo has also been a featured concert pianist, performing Gershwin’s “Rhapsody in Blue” with dozens of orchestras worldwide.

There are numerous television and video performances to his credit, including Ray
Charles BBC Special, Mad TV, BET on Jazz, VH1 “ Storytellers”, The David Letterman Show, The Tonight Show, X- Factor and The Talk w/ Mary J. Blige, George Lopez Show, Earth, Wind & Fire documentary Shining Stars, HBO Special – Janet Jackson in Hawaii, Michael Jackson “This Is It,” David Foster “The Hit Man Returns,” The White House Motown Tribute Special on A&E.

Mo’s discography is extensive and his movie soundtrack credits include “Talkin’” featured in the Disney movie “Three Men and a Little Lady” and the EWF single
“Cruisin,” featured in Spike Lee’s “Get On The Bus.”

Mo is a Yamaha keyboard Artist and also endorses Yamaha, Schecter and Bossa basses among other music products.
